Affiliate disclosure

Tripsya is free to read. It is paid for by display advertising and, on some pages, by affiliate links to travel booking partners. This page explains how those links work.

What an affiliate link is

Some links on destination guides, the trip planner and the home page are affiliate links. They are always grouped in a clearly labelled box with a short notice next to them, and they open the partner's own site in a new tab. If you book through one of these links, the partner may pay Tripsya a commission. You do not pay anything extra, and the booking is made with the partner, not with us.

Who our partners are

Affiliate links are handled by the Travelpayouts partner network. Depending on the page, they lead to partners such as Aviasales (flights and hotel search), Booking.com (hotels), Tiqets (attraction tickets and tours), DiscoverCars, QEEQ, GetRentacar and Localrent (car hire), Kiwitaxi (airport transfers), Airalo and Drimsim (travel eSIMs and SIM cards), Kiwi.com (flights), VisitorsCoverage (travel insurance), Radical Storage (luggage storage) and Compensair (flight delay and cancellation claims). Hotel and flight links open a search already filled in for that place, with dates in its best season (or the month you chose in the trip planner) that you can change on the partner site. The live partner search boxes load only when you choose one; until then no partner code runs on the page.

What affiliate links never do

  • They never decide which destinations we cover or what a guide says about the best months, getting there, entry rules or how long to stay.
  • We do not take payment for coverage, and partners cannot review or change our guides.
  • We do not print room rates or fees, and we never set or edit a fare. The only fares on Tripsya are in the popular routes section of the home page: the lowest return fare that Aviasales travellers found recently for each route, with the date it was found, refreshed once a day through the Travelpayouts Data API. Fares change all the time, so the partner search shows the current one. Insurance links lead to a comparison on the partner site; Tripsya does not sell or recommend a particular policy.

How links are marked

Affiliate links carry the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, as search engines ask, and sit next to the notice "Affiliate links". Links to official sources, such as site authorities, national parks and tourism boards, are never affiliate links.

Privacy

When you click an affiliate link you pass through tp.media, which records the click so a booking can be attributed. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.
